Rushing boost for #ThePack2021

Newest addition to our roster will be a replacement for Tuiasoa, who due to multiple private reasons have decided to head back home, ending our adventure for now.

Lamar Carswell - Running Back, Trine University

At 5'9" and 180 pounds, Lamar spent last year in the Finnish Maple League, finishing strong as a National Champion with Kuopio Steelers. Carwell averaged 9,3 yards per carry, with 58 carries through the whole season! Rushing for 799 yards and 14 Touchdowns in the season, defeating Helsinki Wolverines in the 2020 Maple Bowl.

In addition for the rushing achievements, Carwell also accumulated 215 yards receiving and 8 touchdowns.

Why did you choose to join Panthers?

I chose to join the Panthers for a number of reasons. Initially, I began asking my friends that I met in Europe for some insight on the organization and I heard nothing but amazing things. That led to me doing a little research on the city and the culture in general and I honestly just loved what I saw. I was contacted by coach Meechie & Coach Samel both whom have great football minds, I feel this coaching staff can help me to maximize my skills which is something I care a great deal about. Overall Wroclaw seemed like a wonderful organization to be a part of and I can’t wait to get to work!

How would you describe your playing style?

My play style is one that is pretty exciting to watch in my opinion. I am quick and swift runner and I try to make big plays as often as possible! 

What can the team and fans expect from you?

This organization can truly expect for me to respect the game at all times on and off the field. I am willing to push through and barriers necessary to ensure the success of the team. I am very excited for this opportunity and I promise not to disappoint!

After the season, Lamar was called a Running Back for AFI’s All-Pandemic Team.
